THE YOUNG OLD SCHOLARS
2006 Relay for Life Young Old Scholar Natalie Potter is organising a group of Old Scholars to participate in this year's Relay For Life, run by The Cancer Council South Australia. Relay for Life is a team event to raise funds for cancer research, education, prevention and support. It's 20 hours of fun with the challenge of competing in a relay style walk/run, all aimed at reducing the impact of cancer in South Australia.If you are interested in participating, or would like to donate some money to this worthy cause, please contact Natalie on pottern_113@hotmail.com. |
The
group was formed by girls who felt that there were no functions available
which specifically catered to younger members of the association.
Thus they have started functions which are specifically aimed at,
and cater for the activities that younger members prefer. For this
reason two functions have been created which each occur once a year,
the Pub Night (aimed at girls who have graduated in the last 10 years),
and the Cafe Dinner (aimed at girls who have graduated in the last
five). These events are run and promoted by the younger members of
the committee.
